    I took this at Bombay Hook De. The original sky was plain blue so i swapped out the sky in this image with another sky

    Hi Bob, like the way you have placed the egret in the clear sky. The wing position is regal with the sun shining through.The subject to my eye is quite small in the frame with the clouds competing with the subject. IMHO the subject should be of sufficient size that the a eye or eyes are visible. They are what the viewer connects with.

    Bob,

    I really like what you are trying to do here very original composition and a different look at nature. Consider working the shadows on the subject and try and highlight the eye and head area. Different crops could be interesting too, maybe moving the subject towards the corner. Not bad for HH a tripod might have helped with detail - nice picture - keep em coming.

    Cool idea to swap out the sky. I need to remember this tip. Nice! I like the idea of playing around with different comp positions, as the sky comes close to overwhelming the egret to me.
