    I know the feet are missing , but this guy moved so close I had no time to take the 1.4 off. And besides , I liked it as is. Just a bit different. Not too often that too much glass becomes a problem. Just to pretty a bird to pass up. Love the patterns on this species.

    I like it as it is. I agree it would have been nice with feet, and if the rock had been in focus, but they don't really detract. Good use of fill flash.

    I love the bird but could it be even better if the green background was toned down a little ?

    I love portraits so I'm OK with the tight comp...I actually would have went in even more from the bottom, enough to hide the rock. Beautiful plumage, and the close-up lets us in on it. Good job with the low light. They eye has lots of reflections in it that I would clean up, and I see a bit of a greenish cast on the subject, no doubt due to the lush vegetation. Great stuff!

    Gorgeous bird with excellent detail!

    Good suggestions above ... will add that there seems to be halo/glow around the bird.
    Might want to check if this is natural or came from PP'ing.

    Excellent portrait with beautiful composition.I like lights,nice details in feathers and sharpness.
