    Taken from my archives. Shot this image about 2 years back in Bangalore - India.



    Nikon D70s + Sigma 50-500mm DG HSM;
    f6.3, 1/200, ISO200, @500mm

    Nice BKGR and COMP. You did as well as you could but this is just one more example of why I hate side-light for birds: overexposed highlights on the lit side...

    Beautiful bird and BG. I agree regarding the overexposed left side of the bird.

    I guess rim lighting is an acquired taste I always thought it added drama to an image but I know others find it unnatural. Beautiful bird and image .

    Nice composition, BG and pose on this bird. The lost details on the hot side mentioned.

    Very nice composition and image, like the background and position of your bird...:D Agree with Artie on the left hot spot due to the over cooking of Mr. Sun.
