Default New Holland Honeyeater x 2

    Attached Images Attached Images

Had a spare hour this afternoon tried for some shots in between rain, the Almond trees are in flower and the Honeyeaters seem to like them.

    Canon 7D + 500 f4 + 1.4 x TC.....700mm, f7.1. ISO 200, 1.640, natural light and tripod used, cropped to vertical, basic editing

And on that note I'm disappearing for a few days into the wilds about 150 klms east of here for some R&R...and of course birding

    Hi Phil,
    Have a nice trip.
I am not loving this image, mostly because the bottom bird has been cut and the OOF flowers are very distracting. Do you have more room for the tail?
    Would also clean up RLC,
    Gail

I like the double pose, beautiful gradiant BG, and vertical comp. It does need more room below though IMO, but that FG flowering branch is in the way anyhow (which is too bad as it blocks a mighty big part of the perch and lower bird)

    Hi Phil,

Love the synchronized pose and birds. But I am agree with Daniel and Gail regarding distracting foreground flowers.
