    Hi Mitch; another good job of masking...it looks like the background was pushed quite a bit color/saturation wise...to my eye there's some odd artifacts in places...I would try to smooth it bit, maybe using a Gaussian Blur or something similar...and I might try to bring back a bit of the original detail and texture to the bird, particularly around the eye and beak...just thinking out loud.

    Mitch, I like the composition and the colorful fun look to this. I see what John is talking about. The texture in the background looks good to me.

    Mitch, I like the composition and the remask (which you do so well). The colors on the back of the bird look like jewels. You might want to open up the shadows on the eye just a bit.

    The reposted bkgd is dreamy. I like it smooth and flowing like this. Your bird has a really nice open wing and spread tail posture that works well.
