Default Atlantic Puffin. Subtitle: " I heard it through the grapewine"

Taken on Machias Seal Island from a wooden blind.
This is a place that you don't have control over "harsh light" "good direction" and the position of yourself within the blind.
You just take what you got.
We booked two outings, one was cancelled due to bad sea conditions.
In reality I drove 1244 km one way for one hour shooting.
It is still one of the best places for Atlantic Puffins.
    Thanks for looking.

A beautiful scene, even if the light was so hard, Karl.

Karl - I recognize that rock. Nicely done with good detail despite the harsh light. Too bad about your second day. There's a dust spot on the lhs.

    Rachel

    Hi Karl,
I almost typed in Hi Rachel as I have been enjoying her shots from Machias as well.
I like your title- very appropriate.
Good interaction portrayed and good exposure for the harsh light,
    Gail

    Ouch!

Looks like you did the best you could with respect to the light.
Great grouping and composition ... love the pose on the middle one!

    Hi Karl,

Really beautiful interactive shot. I liked pose of middle bird. It looks so funny. Very well done in harsh light. love the water BG also.

I like the composition, details and BG. Well done under challenging conditions. I guess one would hope for a cloudy day with the time constraints.

Ha! This is a great one, Karl. Love the story, the exposure and the scene. I'd evict the dust spot on the left.
