    Default Common Loon... close up.

It's been a very hot and humid summer so far and I just don't have the energy to go out as much. Summer is so short that weekends are spent with family functions.

On the occasional trip to the lake taken about 3 weeks ago, looking for Loons chicks with no luck.
The weather forecast that day called for calm winds but it was not the case on the lake.

Started with LR 4.1 for processing and Elements 10 for jpeg output. Almost full frame with small crop on top and left side.

    Thank you for looking.

I like it. Nice pov, detail and sharp. Water droplets add to it IMHO.

Hi Ramon, tack sharp detail on the head, droplets included. Their red eyes really stand out so well, and I like how you have brought out the sheen on the head. Great water BG too.

Ditto on cropping the image a bit differently. Love that red eye! Makes the image pop even more. Super detail and light!

Beautiful light, pose, details, and BG!
Everything looks prefect here to me except I would trade some of the negative space at the top for being able to see more of the body, and preferably a bit of the water line. ... feels "cut off" to me as is.
