Default Marsh Wren ... little bird with a big voice...

    Hi

It's amazing to hear them singing. They are so small and live a hidden life most of the time. Only in early spring you get the chance to see these fantastic little birds singing their song.

I was happy to find this little bird singing and building its nest right next to a wooden path. He was pretty busy to build its nest, but from time to time he came up to sing his impressive song.

Very lovely. Esp. the cocked tail and the colors. Wish for a slightly better head angle. It looks as if there might be a tad of motion blur to the upper mandible. Perch and BKGR are also superb.

What was the shutter speed? (Why not ISO 400???)

A beautiful image of this species, Jan. They are usually singing amongst a clutter of cattail or bulrush stems. This clean setting is special.

I am not sure what Artie wishes about a head angle but I like it as is.
Most of us couldn't dream any better image of a singing bird.

As I am using the same gear as you I am rarely satisfied with ISO400.

With the bird's body angled slightly towards us, the head needs to be angled towards us to roughly the same degree. Here, the bird's body is angled towards us, but the head is pretty much sqaure to the imaging sensor; thus, the head is actually turned to the right a bit (if you go by the way that the body is angled). I did say that I liked the image but it could have been better. I do not make suggestions to practice my typing, but rather to help folks create better and better images. :)
