Very comical birds to observe a lot of the time, this one was in a family group about 300 klms north of Adelaide.

Canon 7D + 500 f4...f5.6, ISO 400, 1/800, -0.7EV, no flash, tripod mounted, dull cold day, small crop, basic edit with selective sharpen, noise removal

Hi Phil, I like how the Babbler's pose follows the line of the diagonal perch. Good to see the different layers of plumage, and what a great smooth BG. I would try and selectively sharpen him again.

    Phil,

Very nice indeed, I agree with Stuart regarding a tad more sharpening.

Phil - nice pose and pleasing bg. I also agree with the suggestion for additional sharpening.

I like the pose, perch, details and clean BG. I would selectively sharpen the bird too. Well done Phil!

Thanks for looking, I can understand the need felt for extra sharpening, but I'm not so sure it's necessary, taa folks
