Very nicely done, Gail!
Lovely light, setting (love the blue color on the wet sand), and BG with excellent pose and detail.
Agree raised feather is a nice touch.
The fine shadows you got from being off light angle really helped to show off the detail but maybe could have gotten away with being just a bit more on light angle and still got the detail plus more light toward the back of the bird … but that's splitting hairs and it's wonderful as is.
Another option would be to rotate the image about 2.5 degrees clockwise to level the feet. It also works as it is but I think I would prefer a rotated version.
Beautiful one Gail. Love the light, low angle, details, clean background and beach. This is very pleasing image. The raised tail feather adds beauty in image. I also loved the lines formed by shore line and water.
Hi Gail, great low angle, and love the soft light in this. Good feather detail on the plover, sharp, and I like the wind swept tail feather. I realise beaches are mostly sloping, but I would also CW rotate this, based on the darker blue line just below the plover. Gorgeous BG.
Very very sweet and pleasing image of cute bird.
Love the low angle, sharpness and great details in whites, exposure, raised tail feather.and wonderful BG.
Regards.
Another beauty, Gail. Love the super low POV and the soft bg. (And the raised feather.) I'd agree that based on the blue line beneath the belly, a little CW rotation wouldn't hurt.
Lovely capture, Gail, you sure got a nice one here. I love that upturned feather, your low angle of course, the bird's angle to you, and the soft colors.
One of your best, IMO. so many things to like here...the delicate beauty of the bird, the in-focus wet sand, the dark bands at top and bottom, the variations in the BG, the whites, the low perspective, that up-turned tail feather...I can go on and on.
