    Default Another Incoming Goose

I went to my local pond in Pretoria over the weekend and stood in a different area than I normally do. I was fairly happy, as it created different angles. I would not have captured this from where I normally stand. This Egyptian goose was preparing to land on a concrete wall to the right of the image, thus the orange reflection on the water.

    Stuart,

A unique image, it has its beak closed

Beautiful pose , sharpness incredible from the lens used, good technique I think.

Man, you are good with that 100-400!
I like the color of the water and the diagonal line it creates.
IQ is excellent and I really like the landing pose.
    Whites and blacks exposed perfectly.
    Beautiful light as well,
    Gail

Excellent shot! I guess you must have the biggest collection of Egyptian goose photos in the world!

Ha! If I had access to this gooser I'd fall in love with him too! For example: I could have the biggest collection of Canada goose photos in the world, but there many reasons why I don't! I would like to have the biggest collection of blue-grey gnatcatcher photos in the world, but that's not going to happen either. Anyhow: great shot! As Gail said: you're a hotshot with that zoomer!

Nice DOF, Stuart, the head is nicely separated from the wing, and the color change in the water is very attractive.
