Look at this beautiful shrike-like bird! What a beautiful look at this guy! Great details in the bird and a sweet background. Flowers, too! Alaska would be like a dream...someday I'll get there. I've researched Alaska and I dream of Alaska! I think about Alaska all the time!

    Another beautiful image.
    beautiful pose and HA-check
    Lovely perch-check
    Superb BG-check
    Usual awesome IQ-check

I really like the little pop of color provided by the flowers and how the BG compliments the colors of the bird.

Alan - wonderful pose, comp and I love the flowered perch. Only nit is I wonder if it would be worthwhile to tone down the purple in the bg by the tail as I find my eye drawn to it.

Lovely light and color and composition with the vegetation, I see what Rachel means about the oof flower by the tail and I wonder if maybe there is just a little too much dead space on the right, maybe crop a bit off bottom and RHS....personal tastes probably

The bird is a perfectly captured and the FG is bliss, the purple patch does not bother me in any way.

Top work and shot. Love the flower and the OOF flower does not worry me one bit. Sharp and fine details in the feathering and great eye contact.

All the best up there Alan, wonderful shot.
