    Default Sleeping Pied avocet

Unfortunately, he has closed the eye, but he also sleeps.

    beautifully exposed.
    peaceful, tranquil image.

Nicely exposed with good detail, especially in the whites. I might have placed it more to the right of the frame.

Wish I could sleep that well !...lovely exposure with some very nice fine details showing through on the whites, beautifully serene image Frank, I think I too would crop a little off the bottom...personal tastes

Frank, a lovely, peaceful image. Beautifully exposed. I think the composition could be strengthed with a trim from the bottom and with the bird more to the right in the frame, but that's a personal thing.

Well exposed and super details. Love the blue to tan gradiant in the water. I agree with comp suggestion (less below and subject at right. Sleeping poses are good, and I like them, but when you encounter such a situation and and a frame or two with an open aye a pishing sound often works to achieve that.

I like the low angle Frank. Sharpness is quite good. I think you could have gone about 1/3 brighter on your exposure. And I think you've gotten some excellent advice on composition.

Hi Frank, good detail captured here, and I like the eye level perspective. Placement and comp already mentioned.
