    Captured at Bosque del Apache NWR during last year's pilgrimage. Early morning (just after dawn) light suits these birds very well, as does late evening light. The warm tones of the light at those times really complements the natural colors of these birds. Many thanks to Doug Brown for allowing me to use his 500mm lens.

    Kerry,

    I love the muted natural colors and nice job with the DoF making the background soft and not distracting. The picture is a bit unique as well with the different flight angle and sideways position - like it as posted.

    Kerry, I agree with Jeff. Very nice. I got to see a few of these this past spring for the first time. Very fun birds to watch!
