    Default Lotus Field

This was taken At Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens just outside of Wash DC. The fields cover about 5 acres and are quite spectacular when in full bloom. I added a sky to this ( as the day was overcast) and also some glow from Color efex

Bob, I'm enjoying your Lotus images...this is a unique perspective and composition; love the front-to-back sharpness...the vivid colors...the deep magenta of the front bloom...I'm not sure about the center seed pod standing so high...I might be tempted to evict it, I'm not sure...and to my eye there looks to be something amiss with the sky/tree combo just above and to the left of that particular seed pod, but that could just be me. Beautiful image.

Wow! Would I love to see that place. Nice job with the processing on the main flowers. You did a nice job with the sky switch out. I might tone down the light area just to the lower left of the main white flower.

Very nice, Bob. Love the perspective.

I agree with John's concern about the sky/tree combo in the center of the frame.

Phew, thats stunning !!. Totally gorgeous use of DOF and in your face blossoms and colours. The sky work is brilliantly done and a fine touch. Hats off to you.

All the best Bob.................... print this out, you have to.

I like this a lot! You manage to show us two gorgeous Lotus flowers up close, as well as the surrounding garden. Well done! Beautifully composed and processed.

Bob, this is beautiful. The first thing I noticed (after how beautiful it was) is the taller lotus pod that John mentioned. I think the sky could be a little lighter in the area John and Maureen mentioned and I am wondering what it would look like with those 2 center trees removed? I love the perspective and the glow.

You created a stunning image with this POV! The colors and glow on the 2 main lotus flowers are beautiful and the dark bkgd really sets them off.
