Going thru files from this past winter. This was a fun shoot for me and I had the pleasure to return several times to find the grebes there again. Waders on low in the water Tampa Bay. Hope to see them again this year

Exposure, sharpness comp...all on the money. The shake with all the water droplets and the smooth water with clean FG &I BG really makes this one special. It was so much fun to have shared photographing these birds together...even if we did both fall in the water with our waders on. I was just lucky enough to have held my gear above water.

    Cheryl:

Nicely captured, and well done to get it sharp at that shutter speed (as mentioned by Phil)

Well exposed, nice angle in frame, action, all good.

I could see a version with a small crop from the top.

    Cheers

Looks good Cheryl! I love it when they shake like that but I don't often find this type of pose appealing (weird, I know)...except here you have it looking quite nice. I could see a crop as per Randy. I'd also fill-in the blue stripe on the reflection along the bottom edge, just for a cleaner finish down there.
