In late March I posted a series of images of 2 eagles fighting over food.
Well, while they were busy fighting a third eagle swooped down and stole the food!

I especially like the way the two fighting birds are looking at the approaching one!

You have a life, taking and posting very nice photos!
I think this one is really good, three sharp well exposed Eagles in one frame.

Hi Gail, congrats on 3K milestone. Thank you for all your dedicated time spent on the site.

I like that all three have different poses, and the overall exposure looks good. The moral of this story, stop fighting, eat your food before someone else takes it away.

Great image Gail and congrats on your 3K post. Your images have improved a lot since joining BPN! I like this one with the dynamic pose and the fact that the interaction between the birds and the story is strong. it's great and you handled a tough condition nicely. It would have been even better with nicer light and better details on the eagles but we can't change the conditions in the field.

Looking forward to more great images!

    Hi Gail,

Beautiful image, and great opportunity, for yourself and the third Eagle. You certainly have more of a life than many people we can both think of, and are obviously using it to great enjoyment for yourself and those of us who look at your images. Long may you continue to post great bird images.

Thank you all for the really kind words.
I was truly just teasing with my " I need a life" comment.
I love being part of the BPN community and receiving far more than I give.
I especially like the vibe among the BPN women. As a female physician I have found that too often women do not support each other as colleagues but not so with this group of women.
Arash- I agree 100% with you about the light and IQ but felt it was worth showing because of the cool behavior. Thanks for all your help and helpful advice.
    Have a good weekend everyone,
    Gail

Perhaps the lesson is not to get so focused on what we are doing that we miss some great things around us. We do appreciate seeing your photos and receiving your comments.

Congrats Gail, on your 3000th!!! Your feedback and support of others has been tremendous. And this is a wonderful image to mark this landmark with. I love the behavior you have captured here.
I too really like the "vibe" among the women photographers here--in fact, among all the photographers here! A greatly supportive, encouraging, and constructive crew.

Gail, Big congrats on your 3000, and in short time, too. As for this image, it speaks for itself. Great story told, superb action, well executed. Agree with the other gals, we have something rather unique going on here at BPN. It's a great group, men included!

Gail - Congrats on no. 3000 and I agree with the comments about the BPN community (both female and male). Awesome image with which to celebrate the milestone. One very minor nit, I would take a sliver off the top to eliminate the darker area right at the middle top.

    TFS,

    Rachel

As everyone has noted the postures/expressions are terrific, as was your timing. Shots like this add some needed flavor to all the "technically beautiful" captures. Well done and appreciated! allen
