Leaping Languar! The Golden Languar is an in-camera blur. Then I added Topaz stylize and the wind filter from PS.

Great subject, Nancy. I like the wind filter you applied - it adds just the right touch.

Very cool, Nancy...to my eye I would have liked to have a smidge of the fur texture brushed back in, but that may not have been possible. Nice capture!

Cool image, and I'll bet a great original capture. I really like the filtering.

John, the in-camera blur left no real fur texture to be seen. I tried at first to actually get a sharp image of the jump but gave up since they leaped just too fast and light was limited. I thought of the blur only at the last minute with the last of the monkeys leaping. It was great fun to watch them crash into the lower canopy and instantly find a branch and run off.

    Thanks, Cheryl and Dave.

Love the feel of movement, and the "wind". I have to ask where you photographed this Golden Languar? (I had to look it up online...)

Great blur, Nancy. My only suggestions would be to tone down the highlights on the languar and maybe lighten his face just a bit. I like your use of the wind filter.

Mitch, I photographed this Golden Languar in Bhutan last fall. They are gorgeous, but somewhat shy, creatures.

Maureen, thanks for the good suggestions. I did try to tone down the highlights but they ended up grayish looking. Any technique suggestions?

Nancy, Very creative! I like the way this turned out and your inventive use of the wind filter. I might tone down some of the highlights as Maureen suggested, nice job!

Excellent shot to start with and good use of the filters used. Great result. Never seen one but sure would like to. I guess toning it down is subjective like everything, I like it as it to be honest.

    Danny.
