    Default Rose-breasted Grosbeak

    Another Rose-breasted Grosbeak taken 9 days earlier than the one I submitted yesterday. I like the way the wing colors show and also the red just under the wing. Thank goodness for VR for this image witih 1/250 sec shutter speed. I didn't want to bump the ISO up to 800 and get extra noise. I only have a D200 and am patiently waiting for the D400 if it ever appears.

    nice pose and the perch provides a nice diagonal reference for composition. The main issue here is poor IQ. The bird is quite soft and lacking in detail. I would buy a D7000 and start making better photos today instead of waiting for a non-existing camera

    Lovely pose and good perch. Like the colors in the bird and the BG. As Arash already mentioned, the bird is soft and lacks details. No point in waiting on a camera you don't know is coming out yet when there are so many good ones on the market right now. Carpe diem.
