    Default Rose-breasted Grosbeak

This male Rose-breasted Grosbeak stopped on a perch near a feeder at my son-in-law's back yard in Orford, Quebec in June. What a beautiful bird! I saw a male several times over a three-week period but never saw the female. I can't help but wonder if she had nest duty. Cropped vertically from a landscape format image.

Beautiful image, Tom. It look like your sun-in-law has a nice place with lots of birds.

Sadly my bird bath and feeder attracts nothing but feral Sparrows and Ringneck Doves.

Beautiful little birdn Tom, and so lucky to have it visit the yard, cropping to vertical was a good idea, sits in the frame very nicely and a lovely smooth green backdrop to compliment such a sweet looking bird

A kiss of fill flash would add pop to this fine image.

Very nice Tom, you did extremely well managing to get close enough with at 300mm (even with a landscape shot)

I love the friendly inquisitive pose, great perch, and nice BG. I agree with Alan about some fill-flash...
