    I like this image because of the head angle but I think it's pretty ordinary otherwise, anxious to see if you agree. The quality of work submitted on this forum is extraordinary.

    Nikon D300, 70-300 VR-II @ 240mm, 1/1000s, f/7.1, 0 EV, ISO 200, hand held.

    Hi Kirk,

    I have to agree with your own critique. I would like to see more room to the left side of the frame. I would also try to bring more details under the wings.

    the sharpness is good and I like the pose. The light quality is a bit contrasty, fill flash with a beamer would have helped to light the under wings.

    What I like best about this is that with the good head angle you can see the diagnostic long, de-curved bill.
