    Default Dahlia

I was surprised to see how many flowers were surviving the heat at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens when I was there on Friday. This was a dahlia - I used Fract. Rounded, then Fract. Glow 100 , a very slight Pixel Bender Oil Paint and finally a Paint Daubs filter from PS.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated

Cheryl, I love it. I might take a slice off the bottom but let's see what others say since I could go either way. The bold color and strong filtering area perfect mix. Hang this one!

Like the bold color, lines and tone variation to this graphic compostion, Cheryl. Nice combo of filitering. Which one helped to create the outline around the edges?

Very dramatic image. Good use of the plug-in filters and fine vision on your part. I'm ok with the comp. This is a wall hanger , for sure.

I like the bold colors also. Looks like a radial explosion and I'm OK wih the crop.

Thanks, everyone. Denise, I had tried many crops and liked this one as much as any alternate ones from the bottom or left or right (I tried them all) Brendan, the Fractalius Rounded added the lines but then the Glow and Paint Daubs changed them in subtle ways.

Late to the party, Cheryl...but wow...wonderful handling of a subject I find challenging to photograph. Love the processing, I like the crop....a very strong floral image.

Wow! Stunning color and closeup! I like the processing you used--it brings out the lovely shapes of the petals. Lovely work!
