    Dan,

This one is lovely. Great head angle, exposure and I like the colors in the background.

    Dan:

Very nice detail in the wings, good DOF, nice BG, well exposed.

I always appreciate it when the head is clean of a merge with the wing.

    Nicely captured.

    Cheers

Fantastic pose making a nice diagonal in the frame, sweet bg and light. DOF is perfect.
    Nice work Dan.

    Very Nice, Dan!

I suggest removing the blue cast in the wings. My suggestion, I hope you like it

    Don, thank you very much!
It bugged me enough, I was not going to post it, although I think it is pretty good, but did not know how to get rid of it.
I don't know where it comes from, it was nice light, just after sun rise, a decent exposure and I had the caste on the upper wing?
    Thanks for taking the time.

    Dan
Whenever you photograph before sunrise or after sunset, the sky is your light source and you'll get blue. (exceptions are when clouds light up red/yellow, of course).
However, you said just after sunrise, so the sun is illuminating the bird, but the shadows are getting illumination from the sky.
Excellent pose and well captured. I like it a lot.

very nice Dan. you are excelling with exposure and you have mastered focus with the 2X TC which is not easy. The d800 must be a joy to use with that much resolution!

Hi Dan, great angle in the frame, and you have good sharpness and DOF throughout the Osprey. Just love the BG too. I also like how the Osprey pops from the BG. Well captured.

I feel Don's repost has gone too far with removing the cast, and has now showed up a touch of green.
