Just lovely. Terrific tundra fg, great pose. Techs perfect as always. Is this a wing stretch, or do they do a broken-wing display?

Hey Bill, this is the broken wing display. I was near a nest but did not know where it was. Once I found it I was able to back away.

Hello Alan, Beautiful settings of tundra and techs are perfect. Love those flowers right behind the plover. Did you intentionally left that half flower at RHLC?

Hi Maya,
I did not intentionally leave the half flower. Thanks.

Alan:
The details rendered are striking, well exposed, interesting pose, great FG, nice small scale, but with interesting details.
The wing merge with the head could have been a real problem, but there is enough visual separation to make it work.
Look forward to more from your trip.
Cheers
Randy

Great pose, Alan. IQ is top notch, as always. Love the "perch" and the bg. I'd add a bit below, if possible.
Do you run any NR or blur on your BGs? They're so gorgeously clean.

Wow!! Wonderful shot. Just love the foreground, excellent pose, details are great, and teriffic comp.
Very well done.

Awesome image, love the behavior. I've often wondered how many shorebird species use this behavior
to defend a nest...very killdeer-esque. It's also exciting to see something different than the usual static portraits
or calling poses that are most frequently featured from this species on it's breeding grounds.
The background looks like you used a blur on it to me, and a little overdone imo...

Het Sid, I always do a slight gaussian blur on my BG's instead of noise reduction. Thanks.
