Cool pose Karl, you must have good access at 420mm.
    Nice exposure and focus.

Lovely pose,Karl.I love the fanned tail and the open beak, calling. On my monitor I would wish for toning down a bit, especially the legs and feet.Still great capture!
Do you have a frame before or after with the wings completely open ?

    Thanks Arno.
In fact I have three shots with the wings more or less fully open preceding this shot.
I'll post at least one of them.

    Thanks, Dan.
There is a road along Guelph Lake. (I live in Guelph)
There are three nests along this section of the road within one mile.
I shot from the other side of the road opposite to the nests.

Hi Karl, nice and sharp, and I like the show of the splayed primaries. Its always good to see a catch of some form, and well timed to get the open beak too.
