    Default Black crowned night heron in budding tree

    I found this fellow perched in a tree early this evening. It is certainly a busy image, yet it appealed to me because of the color of his eye and the buds, however, the image creater is not always the most objective. I am interested in your opinions.

    I like the light, details and pose but would prefer if the branches in the foreground weren't there.

    The eyes and the tree buds do go well together. As you noted it is busy and it would be better if you could have been more on an eye level with the bird rather than below it. (Someone needs to invent a levitation device for such occasions).

    NIce shot of the bird but there are to many distractions. Branches fight for dominence.

    Hi Grace,

    This is a lovely habitat photograph. I would clone out the little branch right in front of the a face. The light gives this image a nice touch.
