Another strong base image enhanced by subtle, effective filtering...I might have brushed back in just a bit more detail in the reddish feathers of the throat...and, at least to my eye, the image might benefit from a bit of CCW rotation...hard to say, not having been there! Beautiful background colors...looking forward to more of your work.

Very nice image. My first impression was to reduce the effect of the Oil Paint filter just a little, especially in the lighter areas of the image. Might try a luminous Lights mask.

Great walking pose and colors, nicely enhanced. I rather like the luminous quality of this as posted. A question, as an infrequent visitor to this forum: is the Oil Paint Filter new to CS6? I can't seem to find it on CS5, unless it is a downloadable plug-in.

Bill, a beautiful pose - I like the OP filtering and the background colors complimenting the bill color.

Appreciate the comments. About the CCW rotation; I thought about this as well. I determined that based on the leg positions( the right being further back than the left) the depiction here is more accurate.
Bill; The Oil Paint filter is included in CS6 only. CS5 had pixel bender as a downloadable plugin from Adobe Labs, and it was similar in certain respects. Unfortunately pixel bender does not work with CS6, and Adobe Labs has no plans to allow it. I keep CS5 and CS6 installed so I can use both pixel bender and oil paint if I need to. regards~Bill

That's a fantastic capture of the heron!! Lovely colors and the OP filter works very well here. I also wish that Pixel Bender worked with CS6.

Bil, Nice effect and capture, I might back off the orange a little if it were mine.

Wonderful image. Love the position of the wing by the head. Nice details in the feathers. What a lovely bird!
