Derek, Welcome to OOTB! Great first post. I love the duck, perfect head angle, the filtering and that eye! Nice job.

Welcome to OOTB, Derek. Nice, strong base image...the eye is particularly striking...and a nice job of filtering on the image. If it were mine, I might have tried doing the filter on a separate layer and lowering the opacity JUST a smidge...to allow some more of the original feather texture to come through...but that's a matter of personal taste. Well done!

Another welcome to OOTB. Very nicely done. Just as personal taste, I lean toward Johns thought of lowering the filter opacity ever so slightly. A very strong image none the less. Looking forward to more.

Lovely image and processing. I really like the effects of the new CS6 oil paint filter. It makes a nice strong design of the feathers on the duck and an interesting reflection in the water. The red eye is a great bit of color amid all the browns.

Derek, welcome to OOTB!! It's a really nice base image and I love the Oil Paint effect. If you have the Oil Paint on a separate layer you can brush back in some of the background - I'd like a little less oil paint effect on the water - I love the duck the way it is. (I like the little trail of blue behind the duck too). I hope we see more of your work here

Hi Derek, welcome aboard. Love the filtering and the eye too. You have applied the right amount of the Oil Paint to this one for the perfect effect!

The repost is really nice. Now, the obvious center of interest is the bird and not the filter. Just enough filter to make it more interesting and slightly different. The bird's eye really draws my attention. Nice job.

What a great photo! I very much like the position of the teal. I like how the color of the teal and the color of the water are so similar, with that red eye for contrast. My preference is for the repost. Hope to see more of your work here. :-)
