    This is one of the last images before the wolf slipped into the sage. The image is more dynamic than the original [ dog show pose]. The newly learned luminosity mask was applied in an attempt to tame the harsh lighrt. Thanks Rachel for the suggestion.

    Hi Gary, nice work with the mask - I think it helped with the highlights. I might still make a levels (or curves) adjustment to bring the mid-tones down a bit also. This was a great opportunity and you did a good job of capturing it. One more thought, since there is only one purple flower (close to the left edge) I would evict it.

    Gary - looks good and I can't take credit. Robert Amoruso taught it to me so just paying it forward. Good suggestion by Kerry re the midtones. Looks like this was a good sighting.

    Gary, I like it! The added saturation that you get with the adjustment of the mid-tones makes the image stronger for me, and the removal of the flower keeps my eye on the prize. Good job.
