    Default Theme - Eastern Kingbird on Railing

    I wish the metal railing had been a natural perch, but the bird landed in good light on this spot - a railing around a local pond, and I felt the image was still OK to post. I might post a different shot of the same bird amongst leaves another time.


    D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S, 1.7TC. ISO800, 1/1000, f/6.7, aperture priority, pattern metering,

    Slight crop, minor adjustments in LR.

    Head turn, bg, dof, exposure and comp are all excellent. Light looks a bit on the harsher side, but I could be wrong.
    Like you, I too wish for a natural perch.

    Nice pose and bg. Agree with you about the perch. Some of the whites seem hot.

    Very nice shot. I really like the pose, great background, but light does look a little harsh.
