I found this Clark's Grebe family at Malheur Wildlife Refuge, my first photo of chicks riding on a parents back. Both chicks were on dad's back and mom occasionally brought food. Light was harsh and I could not get down to the water level without scaring them away.

Laurie - very nice family shot (almost missed the chicks without your mentioning them) and I like the ruffled feathers. Looks like you handled the harsh light. I just wish they were angled slightly towards you rather than away.

    Hi Laurie,

Beautiful, and I agree with Rachel. I fully understand the difficulty in sometimes getting low.

    Hi Laurie,
I agree with your self critique but it is still a really good shot.
Good exposure and tack sharp and love the babies,
    Gail
