I would have loved the front bird slightly sharper however I was still glad to have got this image. It would have been impossible to get them both very sharp. WDYT ? Nikon D3s 1/3200sec at F6.3 ISO 640

Hi Vivaldo, great sighting to see two Kestrels, and the light looks good here. Good detail in the back bird, and its not the ss that has let you done with the front bird, but I feel its fallen out of the DOF range.

Thanks Stuart, have to agree with you on DOF range. If only they were more parallel to each other, that might have worked.

The pose is dynamic but I'm afraid overall this one isn't working for me. The focus had locked on the perched bird and the flying one is OOF. I wish you had focused on the flying bird instead of the perched one.

    Hi Vivaldo,
This is one of those "almost" shots.
The flying ,slightly OOF, kestrel is a problem but what I mind is the vegetation in front of the perched kestrel beak and the left eye in shadow.

Yes ,pity Vivaldo.Still a good capture.Would have been great if focus was on front bird.

Vivaldo, agree that flying bird in focus would have been the better tradeoff. nice moment, exposure and comp.

Vivaldo - nice light and great sighting. I agree with the others that either more dof or having the bif sharper would have been preferable.
