    Default Queen Anne's Lace

I love the shapes of Queen Anne's Lace in all stages of growth. This one was closing up. Taken outdoors under overcast skies, tripod, Sigma 105mm. It is always a balance between detail in the subject and blurred bg. It appears I used f2.8 for this one, which surprises me.

Processed in Elements 10, including Topaz Clean "Stylize Details,", Viveza, and Color Efex Pro "Brilliance/Warmth" and "Tonal Contrast." One of my favorite textures by hey amy .

    Comments and critiques always welcome.

Nice upward pull to this image. Antique feel from the background.

Love the stylized details and great color / texture to BG, Anita. Good combination of filtering and like subtle diagonal line to comp. I might darken the mid levels just a bit to give it a tad more contrast.

Anita, the texture colors are perfect for the image. I love Queen Anne's lace is all it's variations

Beautiful lines to this. I really miss the Queen Anne's lace out here in the Rockies. I remember adding food coloring to the water as a kid and thought it was so cool how they changed color! I think Branden has a good suggestion about adding a bit more contrast in the mid-tones. Lovely bkgd.

Anita, this is simply beautiful...great lines and color...great DOF and sharpness at f/2.8!...subtle, effective processing, and a great choice and application of texture. Really well done!

Anita, Nice work with the Queen Anne lace ball. The background colors are lovely and the detailed look of the ball is very nice. Great job.

I love the detail in the ball also. The soft background really sets it off very well.

Lovely lines and details in the base image, very nicely enhanced with a light touch. Looks just a little bright on my screen.

I'm a bit late in thanking all of you for your comments and suggestions. I attempted to darken the mid-tone contrast in this version. Is it an improvement?

Hi Anita....I think your repost is an improvement! I might even go just a touch darker myself
