    It is mid - winter in South Africa and the Aloes are in full bloom.The sunbirds and bees are making the most of the nectar on offer.

    Arno, this is superb capture...Love the perch, Pose and sharpness..might tone down the highlights on perch between the feet. TFS

    Vibrant and sharp shot, love the flower perch, as mentioned some of the highlights are a tad bright, but still full of great color

    I think a tad less brightness would look nice, Very attractive bird.
    The "perch" is just awesome, very nice.
    A bit of sharpening noise around the bill.

    Hi Arno, lovely colourful iridescence, and I like the pose. Good DOF throughout the image too. I dont have a single sunbird image in my files.

    It is so difficult to get the exposure precisely right on these shiny birdies U dit verry well here Arno top notch photography.

    Thank you all for the kind and positive feedback.I often find it difficult to portray and expose birds with a metallic sheen well and realistic.
