excellent monotone feel. loved this image.
might suggest wee bit of CCW rotation.
& if you have space around the image, wud suggest some portion in the bottom cropped off & instead have some space on top (that would bring the buffalo to bottom thirds' line)...
Hi Kristen Excellent mood Outstanding feel !!!! I like how well the foreground animal stands with the rest of the image Would love to see more room all around Image seems tight as presented Big Congrats on this one !!!!!
Nice feel to this one Kirsten. Would've preferred that the other buffalo not be there (he abruptly puts an end to that nice glowing backlight). You did a nice job of holding just enough detail on the shadow side eye and horn.
Steve
nice image....Kirsten IMO... buffalo needs more space on LHS ... wud also crop the FG a little to get rid of green foliage on RHS ... the heavy black frame also detracts from image...
Thanks for the advice guys, some very good pionts mentioned. Seems the prefered composition is very much personal opinion but I will have a look and see what I can do to improve.
Very nice photo Kirsten and very well executed. For presentation purpose I am inclined to crop a bit of the bottom and reduce the yellow saturation and contrast just slightly.
Wonderful image. What makes it sing for me, in addition to the incredible light, is the filagree of grass across the dark image of the animal, while the second, less defined, animal echoes the first and adds balance and a social context.
