    Default Fun w/ Fireworks

My annual fireworks challenge... to get something a bit different. Went with my 200f/2 this year & a tripod (lasted only a few shots... then hand held as usual). This one 1/320 at f/2.8 ISO400.

IMO fireworks were easier to photograph on film. However, you did a real nice job, hand holding no-less.

Love the way it all fills the frame, somewhat " War of the Worlds " theme....I too have found it more effective to hand hold for fireworks rather than tripod

I love the composition and the feeling of depth...and the dark red tones amidst the smoke are a nice contrast to the white trails of sparks.

Michael, this is a great fireworks shot - I love the garnet colors and the random trails. Nice work

Michael, I like the random display of the fireworks. The colors and the pattern are very nice. I might evict the tiny little white mark towards the center of the image.

    James, Phil, John, Cheryl, Denise,

Thanks much for your comments. Denise, the white mark... funny once you see it you can't take your eyes off of it (and away it goes). Thanks much.

I'll post another one of these later.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

This one works for me. Love the deep colors and the out in space feel!
