I have posted a series of recent loon images, all on various shades of green. Thought I would change it up this time.

I liked the colors on the bird and the lucky capture of the drip shadow on the breast

    Advice and comments always appreciated!

    Cheers

Randy - great low pov and your usual IQ. I like the blue water, it makes the loon pop a bit more. Water drops take it up a notch.

The loon's head looks so amazingly sleek, and I love the water drops!!! Although I like the loons against the blue, I am partial to the green BG b/c it matches the green in the bird's head and neck which is quite visible here. Nice choice of crops and a very pretty blue.

Excellent IQ and comp. Love the dripping water. Especially love the shadow of the two trailing droplets on the chest :)

Nice blues for sure, and yes that drop's shadow is really neat! I'm OK with a colour band along the top edge but here I'd rather see more of it (more canvas), or none (cloned out).

Thanks everyone for the comments. Much appreciated.

Daniel, I left the little colored band at top just for you The original frame has a modest tan band from the far shoreline. I cropped it for the desired comp. Removing the brown would be a trivial job, but I kind of like how it subtly plays with the brown in the water.

    Cheers

Hi Randy, I rate this the best of your recent series. Do I have to tell you that you have brought out the green sheen on the head and neck so well in this, nice and sharp, and I really like the blues of the water. Well timed to get the drooling water.
