Nice action shot. The composition seems nicely balanced. Overall the focus is a little soft but with 1/1000s you should be stopping action pretty well. Sharp focus around the head and eye would save the image I think. maybe some selective sharpening would help?

Nice pose and the stick adds to it. Higher shutter speed would have helped in this situation since it looks a bit soft on my monitor.

Love the wings up pose Michael and the stick as great. The only negative for me is the tought contrasty lighting. You did a good job considering. To do these guys well you need some high clouds or overcast sky to tame the contrast.

This is very nice. I don't mind the blur in the wings are the head looks sharp. I would love to see in vertical. Nesting material is a nice touch.
