Wanted to try a different approach with this one...180mm lens, f/16@1/80. After some basic work in LR and PS, added layers of Topaz->Simplify and Fractalius, color blend mode on the first, and tweaking opacity on both layers.

Very nice work, John! I like the filter use. I kind of wish that the foerground petals were not covering as much of the back flower, splitting the image in two. Still a very fine piece though!

John, I like the filter combination and the bright colors. The water drops are an added plus

John, It's like a Yin-Yang with the two opposing looks. I love it and the comp. Nice bright sunny colors and Fract work!

John....I like this as presented. I love the contrast of the oof and in focus frac/ simplify work.

Have mixed feelings about this image. Love the colors and composition. Love the left diagonal half--wonderful lines and shapes. The right diagonal part does not work as well for me, and I'd like to see it diminished in prominence--lighter, smaller, or something. Maybe the evenness of the split as mentioned above is the cause of my unease. Clearly, I'm the odd woman out. I like seeing you try different things! Keep the images coming.
