Unpacked new 800e used 300 f4 and fired a few images this one f5 1/1000 cropped a bit off the left and added a bit on the right think 1so was 1000 any comments welcome
A good looking bird Grahame - I like the aquamarine blue in the background with the yellow. Unfortunately, the high angle side lighting makes for a harsh and contrasty image - I think it would look better if you toned down / cloned out the shadow of the bill on the breast. I might put a bit of canvas back on the left to make room for the "virtual tail feathers". There seems to be a few technical issues - there is a definite line around the back and tail of the bird - sharpening artifact? The strange vertical line right in front of the bird's bill looks unnatural - is that the added canvas?
