    Hi Allen...Nicely handled image from bg to composition. i think I might try darkening the main body and legs just a bit!

    Great shot Allen, I like the composition and the matching colour scheme. I don't know if you applied a sharpening mask, if you did suggest you check the front of the head, I suspect there are some hairy details there that are not fully sharpened. The plane of focus is excellent and I think you have taken the image from the optimal angle.

    Nicely placed in the frame Allen, the soft earthy color tones complement the color of the main subject as do the seed heads

    Hi Allen. You've been posting some excellent images of this species, but this may be your best yet! The comp, lighting, sharpness, and background put this one over the top!

    Love the coordinated colors and the comp. Nicely done. I'm amazed you didn't have more wing blur at 1/250s.
