Nice flight position and the inclusion of the family is great. Not crazy about to large pole.

This is very nice I like the whole family. I'd sharpen the owl more

Tom - nice flight pose and I love that the whole family is there. Bg and colors are pleasing. I too wish for a little more sharpness.

Alan - I agree, the post/perch is nothing wonderful, but it is what was there. I would have preferred a nicer perch. I have a few other shots in the series with a better perch that I may post.

Arash and Rachel - I have done a repost with more sharpening and increased contrast, maybe it is better.

Thank you all for the comments and for taking the time. I had wondered about the OOF family as I have other landing pics without the family and better perch, but I thought the family added to the photo and so was curious as to what others felt. Thanks again!

    Tom,
Excellent repost, Although large and somewhat Bulky I am not really bothered by the perch, so many things to like about this image that the post detracts lil from a very pleasing composition. Including the family really brings impact to the adult coming back to the nesting site and the visual impact of it being in flight really makes this work nicely... The skyline and perspective captured is great. I do wish for the Dof to be carried to the family however, but find it pleasing as presented. I wish it were mine! :)

  7. Thanks Tom Redd thanked for this post
