I am still getting a handle on processing these files to jpeg sharp without intoducing excessive noise.

Now that is a very nice enviroment photo!
Super pose, the habitat is lovely (and more defined),
no noise at all, what a D800 at iso1000 should look like.
    Beautiful!

Great composition with the bird positioned in the frame, and especially like the oof reeds. Nice and sharp particularly at relatively low shutter speed, a lot to like about this one John.

Beautiful image! You were very lucky to get it sharp at such slow shutter speed.

    John:

Very nice environmental shot, reeds perfect degree of sharpness for me, nice pose.

I might use a very light green clone stamp on the brown patch on far right, and just for giggles, try a version with the reed touching his tail shortened up a bit

    Cheers

Hi John, the best flight pose from this series, and as always nicely separated from the BG. I like the OOF reeds at the bottom of the frame.

Fantastic, John. I love the white and how it pops against that gorgeous background, the fanned out tail, the angle towards us. Really a lovely image.
