One from last summer. My one and only opportunity with this species thus far.

Very minor bg cleanup. Removed additional catchlight from flash.

    1/800, f8, iso 640, flash (manual)

    All comments appreciated.

Very cool Sidharth, hard to tell where the FG & BG begin and end.
    Nice effect, and very attractive.

Low angle and simplicity of this one work very well, nice earthy colors too

Hey Sid, you have nailed this one. Great low angle, and just love the ripple line running across the frame with a touch of blue. Good use of flash, well exposed, and if anything, I would maybe take a bit off the bottom. The colour of the BG compliments the sandpiper perfectly.

Lovely image. Great low angle and superb flash work ! (could not tell a flash was used which is the best indication for your good work.)

This works extremely well. Pleasing colors, fg, bg, nice pose and low pov.

The complimentary color of the background brings out the beauty of your bird. Nicely seen and executed.

What a nice image. Very tranquil and soothing.
I like the browns and the earth color palette.
Good low POV and IQ ,

Very nice low angle, and I too love the way the FG and BG merge together because of this. Nice profile on the subject. I think I'd take a bit off the bottom too, and although it may be an illusion I get the impression the image needs a very slight CCW rotation.

    Thanks all for the comments.
Cropping from the bottom does indeed improve the comp. Thanks!

Fantastic BG color to go with the wonderful light and the sharp bird and the excellent flash work.
