Common loon collecting chow for junior. They often come up with vegetation as well as a fish! It is interesting when they get a reed stuck in their bill, quite the antics with head tosses and splashing to get it out of their bill.
This image has a bit more traditional color palette from the last one.

You are the "loon master!"
I like the brightness of this one and the curvy lines of the vegetation.I also like that little strand draped over the top of the beak.
The drops on the head and iridescence of the neck feathers add that special oomph to the image.

Beautiful image, your usual nice low angle.
The blacks could be darker though for me. The green caste of the BG appears
on the Loon to me.
I really like the reflection along the length of the BG above the Loon.
Looks like you're having another great year with the Loons Randy. Everything works for me in this frame; behavior, low angle, sharpness, exposure, and pano crop.
Hi Randy, love the light in this, which in turn has brought out the greens on the head so well. Good sharpness, and the fish and grass draped over the bill adds interest. I really like the calmness of the water, and the curvature of the dark band of vegetation in the BG. You certainly are the master of the Loons.
I thought this one was a nice change of pace from the previous post which was very somber and moody.
Dan, I agree that there is some green showing up in the blacks. They have so many different looks depending on the light, reflections, etc., so it seemed 'natural' to me, but I will try a version with the case removed.
It was a magical morning, dead calm, so lots of smooth water.
