    Taken yesterday at a Large Lake not far from where i live, This heron landed on a fallen tree and started looking in the water-a few minutes later it flew gently into the water and grabbed a pike, I thought it too big for the bird but after 5 minutes it put it back into the water and speared it straight through the neck and body and then picked it up and swallowed it-amazing

    Wow, I can't believe he swallowed this big pike. Great find and behavior.

    Man that is one big fish!!! Didn't think it could eat it !!! Excellent Dave!!!

    Have seen Blues with similar fish and abandoning after an hour or so !!!
