    Default Boat-billed Heron at night

    Hi Pixers,

    a new pictures from Minatitlan
We was driving on dirt road, and we found this bird in the water. We stop the car with light on and the two front wheels gets in the water, it's why there are these small wave on the back of the bird.
Mark IV, 420 mm, at 5,6. ISO 500, Speed 100. Handled but use the car door as support. in FS one layer of sharpness and remove clear mark in the back ground, crop vertically.
    All comments very welcome..

    Manuel:

Interesting photo because of both the subject and time it was taken. It is small enough that it is a little hard to give a detailed critique. I would def. add a little canvas on the right side and below.

The bird looks sharp and well exposed under the conditions.

    Cheers

Yes, it would be nice to see it bigger. Nice reflection and nice "night feeling"; looks sharp in this size. I agree with Randy to give it some more canvas. Nice work, Manuel.

Ditto Randy and Lorant. I love the effect of the water ripples on the plumage. Wish it was posted bigger
