Conn coast a few weeks ago. Very cooperative subject on a piece of driftwood. Almost full frame.

Great preening plover shot, Neil. Another crop possibility might be having the bird a bit more to the right rather than centrally placed but lovely as is too. Great detail, sharpness, exposure. If you were at 1000mm you must have had a 2x TC on? Or were you really at 700mm?

Really nice pose and details and the exposure looks right on.
Maybe just a sliver off the right side?

Nice preening pose and eye contact; good detail. I'd add a bit more room on the lower side. Well done.

Terrific behavior captured here. You have great details and spot on exposure. Agree on keeping your subject out of the center. I would tone down the brightness of this capture just a tad.

Whites are bright, but not blown, adds a sense of purity to this one, cute chick and nicely timed with the preening

Nice pose with lovley feather detail. Agree, the bird could go a bit towards the right in the frame. I do like the simular BG colours to the bird.

    Thanks for the comments .

Looking more I do agree on moving the bird more to the right.
