    This was after the little one settled in beside Mom. Also a different shooting angle.

    Taken @ Mud Lake, Ottawa

    Nikon D300s + Sigma 150-500mm

    1/800, f6.3, ISO 220 @ 500mm

    Ah now this one is better with no large distractions ...nicely balanced and both ducks with better HA ...my only thoughts would be crop more from the top to help remove some of the darker colored vertical blur on the right hand side, is that natural or an attempt to clone something out

    Thanks Phil. There was nothing cloned so that is all natural.

    This one works SO well, Jeff. What a difference moving to the left made and it doesn't hurt that you have the birds in an intimate pose. The green water is stunning. Congrats on this one.!

    I like this one a lot more. The intimacy of Mom and chick is lovely. Better angle as well,
