Here is a better profile view of this young fella, providing a look at the fieldmarks on the tail. Such a beautiful poser, and curious to the audio.

Canon 7D + 100-400L @400mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/7.1, ISO 400 (histogram checked), natural light, handdheld, basically FF, perch toned down and saturated via burn and sponge tools.

Daniel, very nice young bird. I like the pose and good job on the perch. I'd sharpen the bird's head a bit less. Nice work as always.

Lovely capture, Daniel. The EXP is spot on, and the colors and details are very nice. Did you do any work to the eye?

Nicer pose and eye looks good, love the little bit of yellow extending over his wing adding that nice little extra bit of detail. This is being fastidious I know, but I find the amount of burning to the branch a little obvious a sit makes it look a little flat and dull.

No nits from here Daniel, maybe could have stopped down a bit to get the tail in focus, but that's minor.

    Great shot.

Hi Dan, love the curved perch, together with the nicely angled pose. Sharp where it counts, and the BG is nice and smooth.
